In this hilarious and affectionate tribute, Michael's recreation of the famed Aussie Dame will leave you howling with laughter as Dame Edna shares and cares with her audience -- providing advice, probing observations, showstopping musical numbers and a little "group therapy" with her audience.

Michael's spot-on tribute to Comedy Icon Dame Edna Everage has taken him all over the US and Canada to appear at various corporate and private functions, as well as major entertainment events. Michael has the distinction and honor of being the longest running Dame Edna Everage impersonator in the United States, performing with the blessing of Barry Humphries, who created Dame Edna almost 60 years ago! Michael's impersonation of Dame Edna has been hailed by Barry Humphries as "Spectacular!"
A native of Hope, Arkansas, Michael Walters was delivered by the same nurse who delivered former President Bill Clinton. That nurse also happened to be his late grandmother, Wilma Booker.
Michael began performing and impersonating from a very early age, belting the sounds of Robert Goulet, impersonating the Muppets, Archie Bunker, and just about every television character who grabbed his attention. Fortunately, some of the impressions have improved immensely over time, and he is widely known today for his impeccable impersonations of Jackie Gleason and of course, Dame Edna Everage.
As a performer, Michael has appeared in over 150 theatrical productions of just about every sort you can think of in some of the nation’s finest regional theatres, national tours, and even Walt Disney World where he appeared for three years in America’s Longest running musical production The Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Michael also originated the role of Bruce the Shark in Disney’s wildly popular FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL. Coincidentally, Bruce is the role which Barry Humphries, creator of Dame Edna Everage, portrayed in the Disney Pixar animated film. Currently, Michael resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he performs regularly as both Jackie Gleason and Dame Edna, in addition to performing his one-man comedic semi-autobiographical show entitled: MR.BROADWAY.
Dame Edna Everage is probably the most popular and gifted woman in the world today: housewife, investigative journalist, social anthropologist, talk show host, swami, children’s book illustrator, spin doctor, Megastar, and Icon. With Olivia Newton-John, Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman, she is one of a remarkable succession of female stars to emerge from Australia. Her success Down Under was repeated in London with stage shows including "Housewife, Superstar", "A Night with Dame Edna" and countless command performances for the royal family. Her first Broadway show, "Dame Edna: The Royal Tour" received the Tony Award for Live Theatrical Event and was met with unanimous critical acclaim. She has returned twice to Broadway with "Dame Edna "Back With A Vengeance!" and most recently pairing with Michael Feinstein in the short-lived "All About Me."
Possibly Jewish, Dame Edna is a widow, with three grown children. She spends her time visiting world leaders and jet-setting between her homes in Los Angeles, London, Sydney, Switzerland and Martha’s Vineyard. She is the Founder and Governor of Friends of the Prostate and the creator of The World Prostate Olympics.
